Description
The fruit of the cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon, Ericaceae) has a long history of use, first among the Native Americans, all the way to the experienced tea drinkers, the English.
It grows in the mountains, in the forests, and for the last ten years it has been cultivated on enormously large areas, from where it is used commercially.
Fresh cranberry berries are very reminiscent of rose hips, not only in appearance but also in taste. They have a sweet taste with a slightly sour note.
