TSH CHECK measures whether TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels are elevated. The normal concentration of TSH is in the range of 0.4 uIU/ml to 4.5 uIU/ml, while a value of >5 uIU/ml shows thyroid hypofunction. If the test shows a positive result, it can be assumed that the concentration of TSH is above the normal values, which is an indication of thyroid hypofunction (reduced work of the thyroid gland).
The definitive diagnosis should be confirmed by a doctor.
