MenoQUICK is a qualitative test for home use to detect menopause status with 99.9% accuracy. The test measures the concentration of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in the urine and indicates whether a woman has entered menopause or not. This knowledge provides an opportunity to discuss hormone treatment with a gynecologist or physician to assess the risk of osteoporosis.
MenoQUICK detects FSH levels to prove whether or not a woman has entered perimenopause (the time when the ovaries gradually begin to produce less estrogen). If a woman knows that she has already entered perimenopause, she has the opportunity to take the necessary steps to keep her body healthy and avoid the risks associated with menopause (for example, osteoporosis, increased blood pressure, high cholesterol).
Packaging : the package contains all the elements needed for the test: 2 test cassettes with 2 pipettes and a moisture-proof bag in a sealed bag and instructions for use.
To do the test, use the first morning urine which contains the highest concentration of hormones and gives you the most accurate results. If you do get a period, the first test should be done during the first week of the menstrual cycle (days 2-7, with the first day as the first day of the period). A week later, the FSH level should be determined again using the second test device. If you do not have a regular menstrual cycle, do the first test at any time of the month, and the second test a week later. Oral contraceptives, hormone therapy, or estrogen supplements can affect FSH levels and cause false negative results. Ovarian or pituitary tumors can cause false negative results. This test must not be used to determine fertility.
Step-by-step instructions for self-testing:
- Collect your urine in a clean and dry container. The test should be performed immediately.
- Remove the test cassette from the pouch before performing the test. Leave the device on a clean and flat surface.
- Use the pipette to withdraw urine from the sample collection container and add 3-4 drops in a vertical position to the sample well (S).
Please make sure that there is no liquid on the result window marked with letters (T) and (C). Do not move the test device after adding drops of the sample.
Read the result after 5 minutes after adding 3-4 drops. False positive results may occur after a period longer than 10 minutes.
